AI Acceptable Use Policy
Customer responsibilities and restrictions for Demand Trail AI features.
Effective September 1, 2026Last updated September 1, 2026
1. Scope
This AI Acceptable Use Policy applies to Demand Trail features that use machine learning, generative AI, large language models, AI agents, or similar automated systems, including third-party models integrated into the Services.
2. Customer Responsibility
AI features assist Customer but do not replace Customer judgment. Customer is responsible for prompts, data supplied to AI features, review of outputs, actions taken based on outputs, and compliance with applicable law.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular use. Customer should apply human review proportionate to the risk of the use case.
3. High-Impact Decisions
Customer may not use Demand Trail AI as the sole decision maker for employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, legal rights, or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on an individual unless Demand Trail expressly supports the use case and Customer implements legally required human review, transparency, and safeguards.
4. Prohibited AI Uses
Customer may not use Demand Trail AI to facilitate unlawful discrimination, fraud, impersonation, phishing, malware, illegal surveillance, exploitation, or other activity prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy.
Customer may not intentionally use AI features to generate deceptive content that is represented as authentic human communication where such representation would be unlawful or materially misleading.
5. Data Submitted to AI Features
Customer must have the right to submit data to an AI feature. Customer should not submit sensitive or regulated data unless the Documentation expressly states that the feature is approved for that data type and the applicable DPA and product terms cover the processing.
6. AI Disclosure and Human Interaction
Where Customer deploys an automated agent or system that directly interacts with external individuals, Customer is responsible for providing AI or automation disclosures and human escalation options where required by law.
7. Third-Party Models
Demand Trail may use third-party model providers. Applicable providers will be identified in the Subprocessor page or product documentation where they process Customer Personal Data. Customer acknowledges that availability, model behavior, and output quality may depend on third-party systems.
8. Inputs, Outputs, and Intellectual Property
As between Customer and Demand Trail, Customer retains rights in Customer Data submitted as AI input, subject to the licenses needed to provide the Services. Ownership and protectability of AI-generated output may depend on applicable law and third-party model terms.
Customer is responsible for evaluating whether use of an output infringes third-party rights or is otherwise appropriate for Customer's use case.
9. Enforcement
Demand Trail may restrict an AI feature or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, legal risk, security concerns, third-party model requirements, or violations of this Policy.
